Samantha Gordon
Associate Conductor
is a graduate student pursuing an MM in choral conducting at Brigham Young University, the same institution where she earned a BM in choral music education. She studies under Dr. Andrew Crane, and has had opportunities to conduct the BYU Singers, Women’s Chorus, and most recently, the Men’s Chorus in collaboration with composer Dan Forrest in October 2023. She currently directs BYU’s non-auditioned ensemble, the University Chorale.
Samantha is also an avid choral singer, and has participated in the Seraphic Fire Professional Choral Institute (Aspen Music Festival), the Spire Chamber Ensemble Choral Conducting Workshop (University of Missouri Kansas City), and BYU’s residency program with the Santa Fe Desert Chorale. Locally, Samantha has appeared as a soloist in Handel’s Messiah with the West Jordan Symphony and the Wasatch Chorale, frequently sings with the early music group Sound of Ages, and is regularly contracted as a professional ensemble singer and recording artist.
